The serial number lists are NOT 100% accurate. The number of instruments produced in the early years 1893-1905, has been reduced. We have reevaluated the serial number list to reflect new information. I live in the Huntsville/Madison, AL area. Would prefer PayPal, and will ship UPS ground nationally. This horn does not look 20 years old and was recently professionally cleaned and polished. In 1978, the contract with Gretch to import Couesnon instruments to the United States was terminated and new Couesnon instruments have been very rare in the US since that time. The fire resulted in loss of all the company records, including those which would make it possible to determine the year of manufacture from the serial number.30+ years old looks about right for this horn that likely was a school horn most of its life. The only blemishes on the horn are by the fourth valve where there is some plating wear from use. It has an euro shank and comes with a Soundwear gig bag bought in 2001, a Dennis Wick SM3M, a LOUD LM 25E, and a Doug Elliot setup with a larger rim and cup. It's seen very limited use since then and has mostly sat in a closet. I used it throughout my undergraduate and graduate degrees until I joined the Army in 2005.
